Liz Lieu was born in Vietnam but moved with her family to Colorado when she was a young girl. Her parents worked several jobs to provide a good life for Liz and her sister. While Liz was still in high school, she was introduced to Chinese poker, then play texas holdem, and began dealing and running games before she was 18-years old. The experience gained from those experiences led her to move to Las Vegas and work her way up the casino game ladder until she was making enough money to not only support herself but her parents as well. She informed them that they could stop working, and she has supported them with her poker career ever since.

With a newfound interest in tournaments, Liz divided her time between major events and cash games. In 2006, she won the $1000 limit hold'em event at the L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles, and one year later won the $1000 no-limit hold'em event at the L.A.P.C., showing that her skills in limit and no-limit keep improving and putting her at the head of the field. She has cashed at two World Poker Tour events in less than two years as well. With sponsorship deals, business ventures, and a successful career in poker, Liz also prides herself in donating large percentages of her winnings to charities. With a healthy attitude, grand sense of style, and poker skills that are tough to challenge, Liz will be at more final tables, without a doubt.
